Designing for Trust in Automation

Join IxDA Pittsburgh (virtually) as we talk about trust and automation with Francine Gemperle. “Doors open” at 5:30, and the talk will start at 5:45.

About the Talk

Trust is a key part of effective human relationships, as we ask people to be increasingly dependent on automated technology – the question of how to design for trust comes up. Seegrid has supported a research effort to synthesize the vast literature on trust in automation in order to leverage it effectively in our product development efforts. Francine will share insights from this work and some pointers for anyone interested in creating technology interactions that build trust.
